🌺 The Life and Sacrifice of Guru Arjan Dev Ji – The Embodiment of Peace and Courage

📜 Introduction Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of the Sikhs, holds a unique and divine place in Sikh history. He was not only a spiritual guide but also a symbol of peace, humility, service, and sacrifice. His life teaches us how to live with compassion, how to stand strong in the face of injustice, and how to remain connected to Vaheguru (God) no matter the situation.   ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ        ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
                  ॥ ਜਪੁ ॥
           ਆਦਿ ਸਚੁ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਚੁ ॥
      ਹੈ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੋਸੀ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ॥੧॥

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਰਚਨਹਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ। ਉਹ ਨਿਡਰ, ਕੀਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ, ਅਜਨਮਾ ਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਯਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਰਾਰੰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚਾ, ਯੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚਾ,ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਭੀ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਹੀ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

There is One God
His Name is Truth
He is the Creator
He is without fear
He is without hatred
He is timeless and beyond death
He is unborn and beyond birth
He is self-existent
He is realized by the Guru’s grace

Meditate on Him.

He was True in the beginning
He was True through the ages
He is True now
Nanak says: He shall forever be True.

The Mool Mantar is the very first teaching of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the opening verse of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It is not just a prayer—it is a divine truth revealed by the Guru. These lines describe the eternal nature of God, who is the foundation of all creation.

🌿 Spiritual Message

This verse teaches us to rise above ego, fear, hatred, and temporary attachments. It inspires us to live truthfully, remember God always, and walk the path shown by the Guru. It is the soul of Sikhism—a message of unity, peace, and devotion.
